The 2011 American Iron Magazine Motorcycle Kickstart Classic

October 5-7, 2011

This event will begin at Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley, NC and end up at Barber Motorsports Park outside Birmingham, AL. All makes, models and years are welcome as long as they are started with a kickstarter.

Level 1 Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic

October 15-16, 2011

Lee Parks Total Control Advanced Motorcycle Clinics are designed to help the experienced rider learn to properly control a modern sportsbike, cruiser, or tourer so they can enjoy their impressive performance while still being safe on the road.

Last Friday some of our staff had the pleasure of joining the great folks at this year's Dan'l Boone Motorcycle Rally at the KOA Campground in Boone, NC. We made a presentation on this website and got to talk to people afterwards. All in all it was time well spent!

If you're a rider that's never had a chance to attend this event well, let's just say you're missing out! Relaxation in the cool mountain air, road stories with fellow riders, and great vendors.

Thanks to everyone that came up to us offering to be bloggers and we look forward to everyone's feedback in the coming weeks on the website. The motorcycle enthusiast community is a great one, and we're proud to be a part of it.

Wayne Busch, one of our favorite motorcycle riders extraordinaire, shared news about the missing Blue Ridge Parkway sign at the Richland Balsam overlook at Milepost 431. We found this so intriguing that we had to make a phone call to get to the bottom of just what happened. [Read more...]
